Mike believes leadership starts with understanding the work, listening to the people affected by decisions, and taking responsibility for getting things done. His experience as a farmer, agricultural businessman, and mechanical engineer has required practical problem-solving, careful management of resources, and a long-term perspective.
That same commitment extends to his community service. Through his work with the Ripon Christian Schools Board and Almond Board committees, Mike has experience working with others, weighing difficult decisions, and helping steward organizations and resources responsibly.
He would bring that hands-on, practical approach to SSJID: asking good questions, understanding the details, and keeping the long-term interests of local farmers, families, and ratepayers at the center of every decision.
